CONGENER — community network genomics
A multi-institution effort linking within-species genomic variation to ecosystem resilience
CONGENER (Community Network Genomics of Ecosystem Resilience) is a ~13-PI collaboration spanning Cornell, UCSC, UCI, and UC Berkeley. The project builds a predictive framework integrating within-species genomic variation, population demography, and species interaction networks to forecast how communities resist, recover, or collapse under perturbation. Our lab leads the Pillar III experimental meadow gardens — 24 one-acre plots at Cornell crossing species richness with within-species genetic diversity, with a planned perturbation experiment and pool-seq time series.
